The entire MAT program should be devoted to telling people they are going to suck their first year. How could we possible be good our first year of teaching. We've never taught the material before, and we've never taught before. It's bull crap. The whole program is stupid... it should be a program for people after their first year of teaching. NO wonder so many people quit after their first year, it's a whole year of sucking. no body likes to suck. I hate the word suck... anyway
I'm really good with little kids. My mom is good with little kids. Little kids out in public love me cuz I make faces at them and shit. And I don't ever hit them like their mommies and daddies. Hitting kids is wrong, unless their bratty high school kids. YEAH!!!!!

Oh but wait a minute now... you couldn't possibly mean that the program isn't what you expected with all the fun and games we're having...why, I tend to think that developping lesson plans and being critiqued on something-as you say- we have never done before is rather fun. Don't you know that tons and tons of lesson plans build character. As if just attending (and staying awake in) class wasn't enough, we actually have to THINK. There's papers and projects and you may have guessed -- lesson plans! But not just any lesson plan--A UNIT PLAN--WITH 15 INDIVIDUAL LESSONS! Whoever said weekends would not belong to us was right on the money! Dude, I gotta read for Cuba class now.
you could make faces at the the high school kids too - i bet they'd like that! well i think the professors that think we will suck and do suck and have sucked are the ones that do not know us very well. at least we have one that probably thinks we'll be good. i just wish we had more classes devoted to our subject area with someone that understands our needs, and less with professors that think we should all write like them and if we don't, we (for lack of a better word) suck.
Hang in there ... Christmas is coming, & then we're halfway through :) Wheeeeeeeeee!
