teaching is hard

Dr. Malloy gave a great speech the last day of class. I wish I had a tape recorder. She talked about how as a teacher we are responsible for other peoples children. They may not be perfect but their parents did their best on them. It is not our job to judge them or change them but it is our job to teach them and to care for them. Our job is hard. WE have to care for every student, even the one in the back of the classroom who is dirty and smells and doesn't have the same advantages as others.

She's really good. Everyone should have her as their teacher.
