I am a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

My research focuses on comparative political institutions. I am particularly interested in judicial and legislative politics and in coalition theory. I teach courses on formal modeling, research design, judicial/constitutional politics, and European Politics. I am also Associate Editor for the journal Public Choice.
