I drove up to Fredericksburg, Virginia on Saturday, October 28, 2000 to meet Eric, GSDana, Jen C., Kyria, Kate, and Kate's hubby for lunch. We all had trouble parking but did meet (a little late) at the Visitor's Center.

We searched up and down the town, rejected the "Sanata Fe Cafe" on the basis that "The know what southwestern food is called, anyway." We settled upon Spanky's.

"Seven in smoking."

"We don't have a table that big in smoking."

"Ok, we don't want to split up. Non-smoking is fine."

"You can't smoke in non-smoking."

(Heather, later... duuuuuh.)

We were seated in the basement party room, because they were frightened of us. No wait, because the table in non-smoking that would seat seven did not exist.

We stayed three hours.
