Our
mission is to produce high quality basic research, with the goals
of : (1) building cognitive theories that explain as parsimoniously
as possible a range of age-related changes in memory, attention,
and cognitive speed; and (2) communicating our findings to the
scientific community, as well as to the older adults who support
this research through their participation. We strive to be intentional
in establishing and achieving our long-term and short-term goals,
and to be mindful of the process by which we work towards them.
As a team, we place a high value on learning from one another,
and on working together in ways that maximize the scientific and
creative development of all team members.
The
Cognitive Aging Laboratory is located in the Department of Psychology
on the second floor of Davie Hall. The main lab office is in 243F
and other rooms include 243G, 265G, and 265H. Laboratory rooms
are used for designing research projects, participant recruitment
and screening, testing participants, data storage and analysis,
and meetings.
