Hunter Scott is one of the nation's leading experts on the Sinking of the USS Indianapolis during WWII. After six years of research, he led a Congressional quest to exonerate the captain who was unjustly court-martialed for the loss of his ship in 1945.  The incident is not only one of the greatest Naval Cover-ups, but also the greatest sea disaster in the history of the U.S. Navy.   Hunter's research collection, the world's largest on the subject, can now be seen at the USS Indianapolis Museum in Indianapolis, Ind., that opened in July 2007.

In 1999 Hunter was one of George Magazine's "20 Most Fascinating Men in Politics" along with President George Bush and notable others. He is also the subject of an upcoming movie by Universal Studios and the topic of a book by Pete Nelson.

Recently, Hunter has graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Economics.  While in flight school with the Navy, he and his former roommate Brendan Kereiakes have started a company, APPSURFER LLC., that will improve upon an asymmetric information problem in a market for college students.
