home into the night 08.31.04 2:24 a.m. i haven't changed anything on the site, so i don't know why i'm posting this update. mostly because i'm sick of looking at the same little paragraph i wrote last time, i suppose. it's now less than a week before i leave the country, and it's really quite strange to think about. in several days' time, i'll be on another continent, in another hemisphere, speaking another language...doesn't quite register. anyhow. i pack. and i visit folks. and that's how i whittle away the time until i leave. though let me comment here on how hard it is to fit a semester's worth of stuff into two bags. two big bags. *sigh* i've also been whittling away the time til i leave by wasting my life on the internet, as per usual, and i have two gems to share. the food industry is tired of supporting the democrats, apparently. they now make republican ketchup and, even better, republican ice cream. don't let your grocery shopping contradict your political beliefs! order now! i can't believe the stuff we crazy americans come up with, especially in an election year. top

i'm a real boy! 08.13.04 11:19 p.m. i have a website(page) now, how exciting! actually, i'm forced to be honest here and acknowledge that it's really not that exciting at all right now, because i have nothing exciting to put on it. it was created mostly to be used as a sort of travel diary for my semester in chile, so i don't have to send the same stories and pictures to everyone over email (did i mention that i'm lazy?), but eventually it will evolve into something cool. i hope. anyways, in the meantime, i've posted some fairly random links that i find interesting, and a few links to pictures of la serena, chile (where i'll be living), and the soar observatory. maybe they'll amuse you long enough for me to come up with something truly interesting to post. top
