![]() this is a barred spiral galaxy, ngc1365. the image isn't true color, even though it looks like it could be...it's taken without a filter and then i gave it a color scheme that made it look pretty. yay. this is the first image i ever processed, so it makes me happy. |
![]() here's the orion nebula, again in false color. i was hungry when i did this, so it looks like cotton candy to me. this image was taken with a red band filter, so none of the light you see in this picture at all is really blue, but eh, it looks cool that way, and you can see a lot of detail in this color scheme. it's a mosaic of a bunch of images we took across the entire field. |
![]() and this one takes the cake. here's a mosaic, almost true colors (i invented a color for the infared band, and the bottom half of the image doesn't include green wavelengths, but, hey, i try), of the sculptor galaxy. it's awesome. it took me a lot of fiddling to get it to look good though...this one picture's actually the sum of a bunch of 30-second exposures added together, with different filters, and then two "final" pictures were mosaic-ed into this one. so don't diss it, porque estoy muy orgullosa de esta foto. *roars* |
