this is a random picture of a geyser i thought looked cool. warning: there'll be a lot of these random pictures. they don't all look cool. my ability to judge what looks cool suffers when it's sunrise and i'm at an elevation of something like 13000 ft. i bet yours would too.

this really was a cool geyser, with all the rings of mineral deposits around it. it's pretty big, too.

the biggest one i dared get close to. it was also one of the only ones actually spraying out water, instead of just boiling and steaming.

this is on the way down--yep, we're on the chilean altiplano, and those are flamingos. believe it or not.
