![]() this is a random picture of a geyser i thought looked cool. warning: there'll be a lot of these random pictures. they don't all look cool. my ability to judge what looks cool suffers when it's sunrise and i'm at an elevation of something like 13000 ft. i bet yours would too. |
![]() mountains and geysers before the sun rose properly. |
![]() matt and a geyser. |
![]() cool mineral deposits and someone's arm. |
![]() me and a cool geyser. clara took this picture, i believe. |
![]() mountains, sun, snow, and steam. and my camera's focus couldn't quite handle it. |
![]() this really was a cool geyser, with all the rings of mineral deposits around it. it's pretty big, too. |
![]() another mountain view, with a little more sunrise in it. you can almost match it up with the earlier picture of the mountains. heh. yeah, i forgot what i'd already taken pictures of while i was up there. |
![]() yep, a cool geyser. |
![]() more blurry mountains and sun. |
![]() the biggest one i dared get close to. it was also one of the only ones actually spraying out water, instead of just boiling and steaming. |
![]() high-altitude plant life and some more geysers. and you can just see the sunlight hitting the top of the mountains there. |
![]() the geysers after the sun'd risen all the way. it's probably the same mountains i took pictures of twice already. |
![]() this picture rocks. it's my desktop currently. the sun looked really neat shining through the steam up there. |
![]() clara being really cold. it was, indeed, really cold. definitely down around zero when we got there, if not below. |
![]() another geyser, yay. |
![]() this is on the way down--yep, we're on the chilean altiplano, and those are flamingos. believe it or not. |
