this was from some sort of craft and culture fair across the street from the plaza de armas. this picture's not very good, but take my word for it, the dance they were doing is really cool.

this is looking towards the beach, on avenida federico de aguirre. i practiced rolling my r's the whole walk there, pronouncing the name over and over. i'm a dork. but yes those are palm trees, and that's a lighthouse at the end of the street.
