For those of you avid readers, here are some suggestions. 36 views of Mount Fuji. by Cathy Davidson is most realistic and totally true: a view of Japan from a woman's perspective...well written and fast reading. even if you don't like sushi, this book gives a good view of the land of the rising sun. for those of you who want more "action" -- Clive Cussler's adventure books with Dirk Pitt as the hero are the best! the author manages to use an historic event from the past and tie it to the present with an immediate- need situation, usually of a scientific nature, quite cleverly...a combination of James Bond and Jacques Cousteau. "the notebook" by James Sparks is one of the most touching books I have ever gotten my paws on. a very thin book that can be read in a night, both beautiful and poignant. well, the trough beckons...
