about
me
Hello. My name is Genevieve Hernandez. I was born and raised in sunny south Florida. I moved to Blowing Rock, NC, a vacation spot treasured by senior citizens, the summer before my freshman year of high school. I cried for days, and then I eventually came to the realization that I was going to have to make the best of my small town life. Four years later I was accepted to UNC Chapel Hill and embraced the opportunity to get out of Blowing Rock.
I am now in my senior year at Carolina and double majoring in journalism and mass communication (public relations sequence) and Spanish. I just spent my junior year abroad in Sevilla, Spain, which was by far one of the most amazing experiences of my life. While I was there, I had the opportunity to do a bit of traveling and go to Barcelona, Paris, London, Florence, Rome, Dublin, and Lisbon. I hope to return to the land of siestas and sangria just as soon as I graduate.
As for my interests I enjoy traveling, dancing and volunteer work. I have traveled to both Canada and Mexico where I have family in each. I am of both French Canadian and Mexican descent. Hence, the name: Genevieve Hernandez.
