http://www.citysearch.com

This site provides lots of useful information on major
US cities. I can check out restaurant reviews, local movie
times, and live music venues for the Raleigh-Durham area on
citysearch. It's basically a great Web site for city folk
across the country.

I love browsing for books and CDs at this Web site. It
sells electronics, books, DVDs, music, etc. at relatively
decent prices. Customer reviews of their products also tend
to be helpful and accurate for the most part.

http://www.urbanoutfitters.com

This site has great trendy clothes, accessories and home decor.
Whenever I go somewhere "urban" like NYC or South Beach I always
make a stop at Urban Outfitters, but virtual shopping will have
to do in the meantime.

Since taking JOMC 53 (newswriting), I have become an avid reader
of the New York Times online edition. The free registration
gives members full access to the site, which has in-depth news
coverage of happenings in the US and around the world.

I bought my ticket to Spain on this Web site, and it was by far
the best deal I found on the Internet. Orbitz, which was created
by the world's five leading airlines, has great deals on airline
tickets and other travel necessities for the bargain-hunting traveler.
The site also features weekend webfares, perfect for when you need
a short break from reality.
