Digital Painting
I had the unique opportunity to work with some crazy
computer
scientists (Bill Baxter and Vince Scheib) in 2001/2002 who created a
program that simulates wet painting on the computer. Using an actual
brush-like
object (3-D stylus) that corresponds to the brush on the screen, you
can feel the response of the brush on the canvas from the force
feed-back.
Some of the advantages to the system are:
Yes, it's as wild as it sounds.
Here's more info on dAb
Haptic Painting and the paintings that I created with their
program.
