The
Commission and the Integration of Europe
The following two datasets accompany
my 2002 book "The Commission and the Integration of Europe" (Cambridge University Press).
The data concern the political views of top Commission officials on
the role of the European Commission, and the working and future of the
European Union. These are unique data collected through personal interviews
by myself with 136 senior Commission officials (director-generals, deputy
director-generals, directors) between 1995 and 1997. Chapters from the
ms. are also accessible on this homepage under the rubric Commission
research.
The datasets are SPSS files (version
10.0). RIght-click the file, select 'save target/file as,' and then
download the file to your hard drive. The files will not load in the
browser window; they can only be read from within the SPSS application.
