Vocabulary 

A student in statistics needs to realize that statistics is really a second language.  Each statistical term has a very specific meaning to a statistician.  It is critical that students learn not only the meaning of each term but how to use it in both verbal and written communication.  After you finish reading each chapter, define 5-10 terms that are essential to your understanding of the content for each shapter.  To get you started, here are five terms that are very important in the language of statistics.  Not only write the definition next to the term but create a sentence that uses that term in the context of a real data example.
