Biographical Information
B.A., Norwich University, 1994
Brian Doyle is a Captain in the United States Army. He is trained as an Armor officer and has served primarily in Cavalry units. His experiences include postings in the Republic of Korea, Kentucky, Alabama, and most recently in Germany where he was privileged to serve as a Troop Commander leading 135 of America’s best. Brian is a candidate for a master’s degree in Geography. He is a human geographer with interests in political and economic geography. His thesis is tentatively titled “Mapping Development and change in Europe 1945-2000”. His research combines GIS mapping techniques with data sets collected on economic data across Europe to explain the role of geographic proximity and borders in development. Following completion of this degree, Brian and his Family will be posted to the United States Military Academy at West Point to serve as an instructor of Geography. |
