Week 11 Reading Notes
- 1. How the material helped
-
I am already very well versed in Excel, but I don't know how to do the math functions. So the most useful part of the first reading are chapters 2 and 3. The Calculations Section of CHapter 2 was particularly helpful.
As for the second reading, yes, it is tedious and boring. However, I really appreciate having this source when I need a definition. It helped very much with the readings for next week.
- 2. What I didn't understand
-
I don't understand a lot of the formatting problems I'm getting while practicing in Excel. This tutorial is only good up to a point because it does not have a troubleshooting section or detailed help regarding how functions actually work.
- 3. Additional questions
-
- What kinds of computers are extremely large databases stored on? Are they always backed up? If so, how?
- Is Access the preferred database software?
