POLI 238-03 Contemporary Latin American Politics

 

This course explores issues of democracy and development in Latin America. Particular attention will be paid to theoretical discussions regarding the problems, nature and limitations of democracy in the region, to how current issues such as market-oriented economic reforms, social inequality, and the nature of contemporary political institutions and democracy in the region.
