I hope to experience many different fields that deal with contributing to a better existence for many people..

 

I am a native of Charlotte and Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  I am a journalism and mass communication and political science double major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from which I will graduate next spring. I'm in the advertising sequence and I would like to work in a warm climate near a metropolitan area. I'm interested in integrated marketing communications and I intend to attend law school after graduating. I have also studied art in the USA, Europe, and the Caribbean.

 

Education

Major and Track:  Journalism and Mass Communication (Advertising sequence) and Political Science (double major).  Expected date of graduatuation May 1999.

Distinctions:  Columbia University Scholastic Press Association Silver Crown Medal  recipient for The Postscript (Co-editor-in-chief),  Universtity of Missouri Scholastic Press Association First Place recipient for The Postscript (Co-editor-in-chief), Dean'sList.

Anything Else:   Formal study abroad:   Switzerland and  London, informal study abroad: France, The Netherlands, Scotland, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece, Caribbean Islands, USA.  Also attended the University of Georgia, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Wake Forest University, and North Carolina Central University.

 

Professional Experience

Position: Academic Technological Network-Instructional Services:  Instructed students, faculty, and staff at the University of North Carolina on Microsoft Word, UNIX, Excel, Claris Works--word processing, spreadsheet, database, and paint, Macintosh, Microsoft Photo Editor.
 

Personal Background

Family: Native of Charlotte and Chapel Hill,  North Carolina.  Lived in many places.  Family roots in medicine, education, and business.

Hobbies: Travel, friends, golf, tennis, snow skiing, reggae music, other music, movies, comedy.

Anything Else:  Major interest in contribution toward the end of world hunger.
