Pearl of the Day: "`Ford, you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.'" -- Arthur

A human being should be able to heal a wound, plan an expedition, order from a German menu, climb a mountain face, enjoy a ballet, balance accounts, roll a kayak, embolden a friend, tell a joke, laugh at himself, cooperate, act alone, sing a children's song, solve equations, throw a dog a stick, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, love heartily, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. --Lew Hitchner

Welcome to my young web page in progress. This is the new, updated front page. Would you like to see the original? Wanna see some rave reviews?

I've been working on H&G now for over a month, and it has really grown. I am constantly adding to it. Perhaps I need to mention a little bit about how my site works. The page you just saw (the one with the ferrets) is just the opening page. This is the main page, and it has some goodies, but don't stop looking here. Under the title above, you see various green links to interests, curiosities, and useful things of mine. Those are where you find the real gems.

Below you see some brief little blurbs about myself and my interests. They are old things from my original front page which I thought should stay on the new one. By the way, some things, like the sounds and the marquee above, work in Internet Explorer, but not Netscape Communicator.

Well, now that you know a little bit about the layout of H&G, feel free to explore. If you wish to keep up on all my recent updates, I have an Updates page which you can check back to from time to time. If you wish to contact me, I have a guestbook and email links below. Enjoy!

I think that musk oxen and armadillos are neat animals. Here recently I held "The Week of the Musk Ox" in my Dorm, putting up another humorous Musk Ox every day in the dorm.
I have hermit crabs. They're named:

I was in Army ROTC...

...but I have bad enough astigmatism to keep me out of the Army. I'm not in the picture, but it is a pretty neat picture.

Here's a link to The Hunger Site, here you can donate food for free to starving people in the world.

I am currently a student at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I am having a very good time and doing lots of neat things. I have started taking Kyokushin Karate, which I am really enjoying. I am also in the UNC-CH Outing Club, and have started working with Habitat for Humanity. Would you like to see some of my suggestions for Outing Club bumper stickers? The Outing Club didn't really go for them.

Would you like to go back to the top? Here you go with a link.

Would you like to email me at UNC? Or during the summer and during Christmas break, you may have better luck emailing me at my permanent residence.

I just built another page with a table, would you like to see it? Or perhaps would you like to sign my guestbook?

Who Cares?
If a tree falls in the forest and kills a mime, does anybody care?

A mime is a terrible thing to waste.
And so is a damn, and I'm not going to waste one on one of those little freaks.

This is how many people have been to this web site--

Stop kidding yourself John, this is how many times
you've visited your web site.
Loser.

All my stuff copyrighted 2001,
'cepting for the stuff I copyrighted
back in 2000

The extensiveness of this webpage made possible
by a generous server space quota increase by the UNC Webmaster

I'm always updating this thing, as it is constantly-

so I'll always be checking back,
and so should anybody else who cares.

Ah... H&G. What a long, strange trip it's been.
