This video is includes interviews with Doon, Lisette Model, her colleague Marvin Israel and curator John Szarkowski. There is not much new material because much of it is repeated in the introductions to Arbus' photography books. A friend of Diane's reads her words over a montage of photographs and the viewer gains a lot of incite into Diane's process and attitudes towards her subjects, the fact that she never evaded what people really looked like, and photographed people functioning in their lives, rather than as formal portraits of freaks of nature.
