Poet Jeffery Beam
Poems
Sweet Fennel
Ah, here in the
tall grasses
Foeniculum umbels
of green & yellow.
Rubbing my bare chest
with sweetness &
soft fern,
the tongue swooning.
Profound
unisons.
From Visions of Dame Kind, 1995, The Jargon Society.
