Design Experience
Page Designer, Blue & White, September 2003 - present
Every month I coordinate with a writer and a photographer to develop the presentation of a full-length article or a regular column.
Blue & White is a 32-page monthly publication, circulating approximately 5,000 copies. The magazine includes feature articles, opinion columns, and short interest pieces that focus on people, places, and issues surrounding the UNC community.

Design Team, Cellar Door, Spring 2002, Fall 2003
Cellar Door is a bi-annual undergraduate magazine of prose, poetry, and art.
As a part of the design team, I collaborated with other designers to organize the sequence of pieces and format the overall layout of the publication.

This organization pairs students with a child with a chronic illness. My pal is a 15-month-old undergoing the last three months of his treatment for leukemia.

Interned at the Community Free Clinic, January 2001– May 2001
Duties included filling prescriptions, inputting pharmaceutical data into the computer system, and checking donated medicine into the pharmacy.
The Community Free Clinic provides free health care and prescription medications to the uninsured indigent of Cabarrus County, N.C.

Volunteered at the Community Free Clinic, August 1999-August 2001
I was the photographer for the January 2001 brochure and was involved in the design. During the time I volunteered, my duties included working as a receptionist, pharmacy assistant, and nurse.
