Welcome! I am a third year graduate student in the political science department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I received my M.A. in 2009. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007 with a B.A. in political science. My areas of specialty are American politics and political methodology. In the political world I am (broadly) interested in state politics, public opinion, and mass-elite linkages. On the methods side I am interested in median regression, clustered data, hierarchical modeling, and using Monte Carlo simulation to better understand issues that arise in applied research.
