I've just deposited my dissertation with the graduate school. They accepted my LaTeX output using the files that I have attached to this email, which can be used very easily by any future LaTeX users writing UNC dissertations under the current guidelines. This email includes the document framework for the actual TeX file of the dissertation, a version of Natbib revised by Noah Hoffman, and the version of the UNC Thesis document style that I have revised to meet the 2005 requirements. The only thing that I know doesn't fit the requirements perfectly is that my page numbers are on the top right, when they should be at the center bottom (I can't figure out how to fix this). My dissertation was accepted yesterday without any problems, though, even with this minor difference. To use the files, put them all in the same folder so that TeX uses the revised natbib instead of the standard natbib stored in your miktex directory. Add your dissertation text to my document framework and specify the name of your bib file, and you're done. Getting it by the defense committee is your job.
