Professional:

My undergraduate studies took place at Virginia Tech, where I worked with Joseph Franchina and earned a B.S. in Psychology in 2001.

I completed my Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007, where I spent six years as a graduate student in the cognitive psychology program. During my first year, I worked with Ute Bayen. In my final five years, I worked exclusively with Neil Mulligan.

I have recently begun a postdoctoral research position with Elizabeth Marsh at Duke University in the Psychology & Neuroscience department.

Personal:

I grew up in Arlington, VA and lived there for 18 years until going to college. While at Virginia Tech, I met my current fiancee, Nadine (with me, on left...as South Park characters below). Having been together for over six years, we were recently married on May 19, 2007. Prior to getting married, she lived in Canada, so it has been a huge relief finally having her living with me, not just in the same state, but in the same country!

I have two cats, Gracie and Nemo (on left).

Interests:

Television (24, Lost, The Wire, House, The Simpsons, Scrubs, The Office, Frasier), Video Games (proud owner of a Xbox360) , Sports (HUGE fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Virginia Tech Hokies Football, and UNC Basketball ) , spending time with my Fiancee, playing with my cats, and of course, Cognitive Psychology!
