What did I do today?
I don't mean I did something interesting. At least the second time I've mis-emoted today. It's just been a long time since I did one of those "this is what I did today" type posts.
I got up. I had planned to get to campus early to cram in some Old English before work at 9:00. I am seriously behind on our readings of the life of Oswald and the Battle of Brunanburh. But I got to campus at 8:30, sans breakfast, so food trumped rood.
Food trumps rood. Riotously clever.
Then I spent about an hour installing a flash card reader and dss audio player on one of the office folk's machines. Drive conflicts. Crashes during install. But I prevailed, gentle reader. All in time to stroll leisurely to OE, where my lack of preparation wasn't noticed. I think everyone else is behind, too.
Lunch is packed uncomfortably between OE and going back to work. I'm eating way too much BK lately. What are you gonna do? It's relatively fast and moderately yummy, and that about as good as you're gonna get at Lenny's.
Back to work, where I spent most of my shift reading Fark. Brendan, my relief, didn't show. But I was working off-desk for another hour so I didn't mind. I'd rather cover the desk than pretend I'm trying to find something productive to do inside of an hour, anyway.
Got off work. Went to Franklin St. and bought my Thor wig.
Home. Dog walk. Checked in with my friend Andy, who had left me a message earlier in the week. Web surfing. Dinner. Realized that Jen still hadn't called me back. Called, left a message that probably sounded angry, though it wasn't. Blogged.
Now the dog is restless. I will walk him again and retire.
I did not say it was an interesting day. In fact, I warned you otherwise.
