The Shortest Straw Has Been Pulled For You

It is well known, or should be, that the Discovery Channel's Monday Night shows Monster Garage and Monster House have an unspoken rule of team dynamics. Usually one of the five builders is either an idiot, an asshole or both. The success or failure of the team depends ultimately on how much of a screw-up that bad fifth is.

Imagine my elation when this week's episode of Monster House features a builder named Dave Spiller. Imagine my further elation when it is evident in the first few minutes that he is the "problem."

Sigh. He doesn't look like us, though. He doesn't have the "Spiller nose."
