Well, it's over. Except for New Year's, which is a non-holiday in my book. You can judge a new year by counting from any point in time, and Chinese New Year and the first day of winter (days become longer as the "dying" sun is "reborn") have some sort of meaning, but 2005 becomes 2006? Who the hell cares?

Anyway, I should recap my holiday highlights:

Quarterly bowl of tobacco and stargazing: calming and renewing, even if it was extremely cold that night.

Best gift: 1st season of Joan of Arcadia. Thanks, Andy.

Best chat: Discussing Nikola Tesla and the Federal Reserve system over Tex Mex with James, before beating each other with sticks. The man makes a mean zhangjian out of a broom handle.

Best Tex Mex: Mi Casita. God, I love this place. Not really holiday specific.
