Have Arrived

I'm in Charleston, or more appropriately in West Ashley.

New apartment is quite nice. Trying to figure out the best daily route into downtown. I'd rather not drive if I don't have to, it seems wasteful. There are a few bus routes in the neighborhood, but they all go in the wrong direction.

I think I need to get to Citadel Mall, the better part of 2 miles away, to get a bus into downtown near the new job at the College.

I'm currently in the nearby Panera using the free wifi. Panera does shit right. There's a young couple nearby speaking Spanish. They could be my new coworkers.

Exciting.

Head is still swimming right now. Most things I own are still in boxes in the apartment. There will be a lot of unpacking and house arranging tonight. I couldn't even start last night. I was too tired to move when I stopped. Dad and I got the entire contents of a 15 ft truck into the new place in about 2 hours.

Grendel is also getting accustomed. He barks at the neighbors when they come and go. He'll have to get over that.

Gotta go and keep absorbing information on the new climate. I'm ghost like Swayze.
