Description

Krot is a program for the display and analysis of HRLIF spectra.

Specifications

Display of HRLIF spectra.

Calculation of spectra including centrifugal distortion, torsion-rotation interactions, axis reorientation.

Auto- and cross-correlation of spectra and simulations.

License

The software is licensed by the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE, version 2 or later (at your choice), as defined by the Free Software Foundation. You should have received a copy of the GPL with this package; it is in the file License.

Following are some notes on the GPL, this is my personal feeling about that stuff, but if there are conflicts with GPL, GPL overrides these comments:

If you would like to modify this package, feel free to do so, but I would prefer you don't distribute modified versions, but send me patch files to add your changes to the main distribution. If you plan to continously work on the program, you might ask for cvs access to the development tree. It will be granted readonly in the beginning, but can be changed to write access after you contributed some patches over a distinct period. ( Yes, you do have the right to distribute your own changed version under control of the GPL, but I would like to keep one general source tree. )

Anyway, I would prefer you do not give the program away at all, but refer people to my email-address (jochen@uni-duesseldorf.de), so they can obtain a free version from me. That's to let me know who is using this program and to stay in close contact to all users ( I don't expect to many. ).
