Enterprise Architecture Project Manager

Managing Enterprise Architecture scoping and justification project for North Carolina State Department of Health and Human Resources.  Responsible for a team of four employees assigned to interview division managers; analyze results, create IT architecture and IT five year strategic plan.

 BASF Corporation · Research Triangle Park, NC (1992 -2006)

Southeast Regional Infrastructure Manager (2002 – 2006)

Managed Information Systems Department for 30 sites compromising of manufacturing plants, research and development laboratories, warehouses and regional headquarters located in the southeast US.  Ensured computer, phone, and infrastructure systems remained stable and available for approximately 4,000 employees.

Additional Administrative Responsibilities Included:

·         Developed and managed annual $3 million operating and $1 million capital budgets.

·        Negotiated and managed service level agreements for LAN, PBX, help desk services.

Major Project Responsibilities Included:

·         IS regional optimization resulting in $2 million annual savings.

·         Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for required sites including Puerto Rico.

·         Reduced number of major cell phone providers from 8 to 3.

Management extended my responsibilities to include installation and support of file servers, LANs, PBXs, workstations, and employee training.

Directly Managed the Following Projects:

·         Consolidated 16 local independent help desks teams into 1 regional structure.

·         Migrated individual help desk logging systems to centralized packages.

·         Core team member responsible for selecting corporate help desk management tool.

·         Created and implemented Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans for all sites in the Southeast Region.

·         Deployed “Sales Force Automation” software for 300 home based remote employees.

·         Created IS infrastructure services, support and SLAs for new biotechnology research department
