Here are the five hottest sites on the web. At least that's what Jonathan Gonzalez thinks.

If I want the latest news from the world of sports, I look no further than cbssportsline.com. From pro football to ice skating, this Web site has in-depth information on every mainstream sport. The rich content of the site is made possible by its great writers. In particular, writers like Jay Glazer and Pete Prisco provide thought provoking opinion and great analysis for my favorite sport, pro football. What I like most about the site is that it is easy to navigate through and it offers a vast variety of articles, polls and predictions.

For my money, it doesn't get any better than msnbc.com. This Web site keeps me abreast of what's going on in the world. Pictures, videos and audio are just some of the features that this site utilizes to ensure its users are aware of world occurrences. Aside from world news, the site also offers insightful information on health, politics and technology. On top of all that, the site also has a pretty good sports page.

My favorite sports magazine is brought to life in an exciting, full-color Web site. Sportingnews.com offers me exactly what I love about the print version: in-depth analysis of my favorite teams. What makes the site even better is that I don't even have to get up out of my chair to get the information. The site may not be as visually pleasing as other sports Web sites, but it serves its purpose. Writers like Vinnie Iyer and Lee Spencer provide thought provoking insight into the world of sports.

Since I can't find my favorite New York City tabloid in Chapel Hill, the only alternative I have is online. And let me tell you, it is not a bad alternative at all. Newyorkpost.com is just like reading the actual newspaper itself, except I have cleaner hands and fifty cents more in my pocket by the time I'm done. The site has stories from all around the metropolitan area and there is great New York Jets coverage. Great pictures and easy navigation are also trademarks of newyorkpost.com. Plus, links are available to the latest in breaking news. Now you can't find that in a regular newspaper.

| Although there seems to be something wrong with the Web site's settings, comedycentral.com is still fun for the whole family. I am a big South Park fan, and this Web site is the place to go for the latest in South Park news. This site also has interactive games that feature shows like South Park, along with Win Ben Stein's Money and the Daily Show. Jokes are also on display in the Joke of the Day portion of the Web site. Another cool feature the site offers is Web Shows, short comedy bits made exclusively for the web. So come to the site and prepare to laugh, laugh, laugh. |
