So
you want to see if Jonathan Gonzalez has any creativity or talent whatsoever.
Well, this is his Portfolio Page, so you be the judge.

Football is one of my favorite sports, so naturally when Mick Mixon asked my J-191 class to pick a sports beat and cover it, I chose football. Now instead of varsity football, I picked club instead. I figured it would be more accessible, and I was right. I met a lot of interesting guys covering club football and wrote a story on one in particular. The player's name is Chuck Brink. Click on the football for more.
Writing is not the only thing I do well, I can also put together a mean radio piece too. In my broadcast writing class, my teacher, Rich Landesberg, assigned my classmates and I to go to the fair and do a story on it. The fair has a lot of unique things going on, but nothing more unique than pig racing. I was so intrigued I did a story on it. Click on the racing pigs for the script to the story.
While on the topic of broadcast writing, here is another selection from my small library of radio pieces. Since I have a keen interest in religion, I decided to do this story on church attendance after the World Trade Center attacks. I went to the Newman Center in Chapel Hill and spoke with Father Phillip Leach. Click on the church for more.
My last Portfolio Page piece is from a Newswriting course I took this past summer. For that particular assignment, I had to write a story on UNC senior Elizabeth Landvater. In the article I talked about Elizabeth's life and focused on her love for Italy. Click on the Leaning Tower of Pisa for more.
