BRANNON'S POEM
""O Why"
by Brannon McCullough

Am I fated to be one of a kind?
O why do i cry for no reason at all?
Forever confused, alone, losing my mind?
O why will no one catch me from this fall?

In a world of shadow my only companion is solitude.
O why are our children trained to be like the crowd?
Even if only God can judge me, I'm still condemened by the brood.
In a sea of voices, I know mine is not loud.

If a soul is whole then in life your only half.
O why do I have to walk this journey alone?
Emptiness set in, when I'm happy no one's to laugh.
If one and one is two, I'm unseen and unknown.

As the clouds shift through the sky, so to does the worlds tide.
O why haven't I seen many morals held high?
From happiness to peace, the majority choose to hide.
When my time comes, I know my soul will not lie.

In a rainbow many colors seem to stray from our spectrum.
O why do most people's vision work only in black and    white?
Even when we bleed the same, prejudice fates us whether we're pretty or handsome.
If I love all people, I will be looked at in spite.

Am I fated to be one of a kind?
O why do I cry for no reason at all?
Forever confused, alone, losing my mind?
O why will no one catch me from this fall?
