Draft Workshop Unit 2 Project draft
1. What could I change about my presentation of information that would make it easier to follow, and not seem as repetitive. Is there a section I left out that should be included, or does anything I have included not fit?
2. I have had trouble relating an academic journal to my information. It seems that sleep loss would be a popular topic but I have not been able to find an article that fits well. Do you use a site, or know of a place other than the UNC library on the net that would be helpful?
3. It has been difficult making my paper long enough to fullfill the assignments required length. Is there anything obviously missing from paper that would increase its length?

2 Comments:
1. I think you talk about a lot of material that is unrelated and unneccessary. Specifically, teh argument you had with you freind, what you ate, and playing golf with your dad. This paper seems more like a descirption of your spring break activities and not an anaylsis of your experiment. You need to focus more on the experiment and the sleep and not other areas.
2. I am sure that there are plently journals about sleep loss and what not. You just need to look deeper. For this project O do not think that you need much research as you might need in the feeders for this unit.
3. You need to focus more on the sleep and elaborate on that topic. What made you go to sleep later than the goal? What could you do to correct this problem? What causes you to go to sleep late on a regular basis? Mainly focus on the topic of sleep ans anaylize it very thoroughly.
1. I think a section that clearly includes a hypothesis. More like an introduction section that gives a bit of background to the whole experiment and explicitly states the hypothesis. I dont think the information is too repetitive, but maybe breaking it down into sections, maybe days and what not. That might assist in the flow and keeping it scientific. I always go to the UNC library section and use the Psychology part. Then check under PSYCHinfo. Thats a good one.
3. The way im going to break mine up is like this...2-3 pages of Abstract and Introduction to the experiment...2-3 pages on procedures and rewards and punishments...2-3 pages on results and final conclusion. If you write your paper with these ideas in mind...you should be able to make it like 6-8 pages long. I think you have a lot of stuff that could be added to really make it a sweet paper.
