Week 10 What I did

The majority of my Spring Break was spent in Savannah, Georgia at my roommate William's beach house with three of my friends. The house is very similar to Forrest Gump's house, three stories with wrap-around porches on both the first and second levels. The weather was very nice the first few days, as we spent the majority of our time on the beach. On Monday we attended Tybee Island's St. Patrick's Day Parade. Tybee is an island about fifteen minutes east of Savannah where William's father grew up. Truthfully I almost enjoyed this parade more than the acclaimed Savannah St. Patrick's Day parade as drunken seventy year old men, dressed in all green ran down the streets, passing out beads, yelling "Happy St. Patrick's!" The highlight of the week was definity Thursday; St. Patrick's Day. The Savannah parade began at 9 in the morning, and the entire town was inhibrated by lunch time. For dinner William's family held a dinner party that included a lot of good food, music, and an Oyster roast. On Friday morning I headed home for the weekend where I played a couple rounds of golf, spent a lot of time with my friends from home, and received a "Much needed hair cut" from my mom. While spring break was a lot of fun it nice to be back in Chapel Hill, with only six weeks left until summer.
