Education & Sports Clinic

The Education & Sports Clinic attracts youth participants to The Boyz Are Back Inc. and introduces them to the Christian values and philosophy of our organization.

The clinic is coordinated by Marcus Stevenson, The Boyz’s executive director.  Volunteer staff consists of: NFL players; high school and college coaches; workshop instructors; nurses; maintenance workers; and van drivers.

Daily sessions last from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meals are included.  Sessions consist of football instruction and mandatory workshops on the following topics:
  • Game Plan for a Higher Education;
  • Drug Awareness;
  • What’s Your Motive?;
  • Eat Right, Live Longer;
  • If You Give Up Now, You’ll Have No Future.
Clinic participants are invited to receive mentoring during the school year. Signed permission from parents or guardians is required for participation in the mentoring program.

Ninety-eight youth attended the first annual Education & Sports Clinic in 2003.  The 2004 clinic will be held on June 23-25, 2004 at Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, North Carolina.
