Oh my God! I have seen so many episodes of this show recently! I think this grand obsession started when I returned from Sevilla and had a solid week of nothing to do: no school work, no work work, nada. Slowly, as I returned to "my pre-Spain existence" and caught back up with the news, music and current events from the good old US of A, I discovered that one of the things I greatly missed while I was studying abroad was "Trading Spaces." (There were also other, more important, things that I missed...but we have no time to go into those here!) I had always been a fan of the show, as well as most of the home improvement shows. I was a regular watcher of "This Old House" with Bob Vila as a young girl. What can I say?! I have always been strangely intrigued by this type of thing. (See here for more on that particular story...) During its first two seasons, I caught an episode of "Trading Spaces" whenever I came across one by chance. Heehee...most often as Jenny just looked at me and cringed. (She is not a fan, to say the least...) However, this summer the obsession has gotten much much larger in scope. I now know the television lineup of TLC so I can plan my day around "Trading Spaces"-watching. Okay, it's not that sad yet...but close. I literally sit there with a huge smile on my face whenever I come across an episode. New or seen before, doesn't matter. I will watch them all. I can even watch the same episode multiple times in one day (and I have done so before...). And, wow, you do not want to come between me and a "Trading Spaces" marathon...it is not pretty. JULY 2002
