Some O.E. and M.E. Bibliography

Prof. Wittig

The bibliography offered on these pages barely scratches the surface and necessarily reflects my own interests and judgments--and the fact that I began working in this field in the 1960's (many works which seem of fundamental importance to me are pre 1990). As you are well aware, an almost overwhelming amount is being written on all subjects, and the area of Medieval Studies is no exception. You will turn up other items using the online library catalog or surfing the web. For where to find complete listings of current publications, see the link on "Bibliographies" below. Most of the works mentioned on these pages include further bibliography, and note the resources listed under the "Bibliographies" heading.
