Thesis Battles- Episode One: The Leaky Cauldron

http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/

At "The Leaky Cauldron," one is subject to a mass informationdatabase, in which he/she can find out about current events in the HarryPotter world, look at pictures from the Harry Potter films, or be linked tomore sites about Harry Potter; however, one important aspect missing fromthe site is a forum for readers to express their opinions about Harry Potterin addition to a place for readers to have fun - games, quizzes, or puzzles.

Can the readers of the blog not already post their comments and opinions? Below every entry there is a link to a comment page. Also, even if there was a section solely dedicated to the opinions of readers, would anyone really want to spend time reading the comments of amateurs when they could spend their time reading the posts of the experts on Harry Potter? Would this particular blog be the appropriate place for games and entertainment? I'm sure there are plenty of other sites that serve that purpose. Besides, is the target audience going to be interested in playing games and taking quizzes? Children perhaps, but the site seems to be more geared toward a more mature audience. For clarity, the thesis statement needs to include what types of people are in the target audience so that the suggestions are relevant.

What site couldn't use a few games? Even though the site does seem to be targeting adults, Harry Potter in itself is something to make people feel young again. I bet the readers would love to take little quizes to see how much they really know about the Potter world and most adults would be too intelligent to use the kid sites. Everyone who goes to this site should be a huge Harry Potter fan-I think anyone who reads Harry Potter wants to feel a little more like a kid to take their mind away from the more adult-things, so why not make the site a little more interactive?

Yes, they do have places to post comments related to the posts, but to have a seperate Fan Page comments page would definitely add to the site. I think it would appeal to community because it would give everyone a chance to declare their love for Harry Potter. Again, I think it would make things more interactive-make the fans really feel like they're a part of the site.
