Here are a few papers and projects that I have done in my English classes here at Carolina having to do with advertising. In both my English 11 and English 12 classes we did units on the basic principles of advertising. Below you can link to some of my work and see how I became interested in the advertising sequence.

Advertising on the Internet
In English 11 my freshman year our class was sent on a search for information about a band called Superchunk and we were supposed to write about the advertising that we saw on the Internet and how it affected our search. This is a paper that I had to write about what I found out about internet advertising.

Fisher-Flo InfaSeat
The second task in my English 11 class was to design an ad campaign for a product we were given. My group had to create a name for the product and find ways to advertise it. The purpose of this paper was to get a company to use our slogan and advertising techniques.

Commercial for the InfaSeat
Our last assignment in the English 11 for the advertising unit was to write a commercial for the product we were given earlier. We had to use the techniques we mentioned in the previous paper to come up with an effective commercial.

Mike's Soccer Leggetts
For my English 12 class we had to design an advertisement and put the ad on the web. I chose to make an ad for a product called Mike's Soccer Leggetts (MSL). MSLs were created and patented by my old high school soccer coach to keep player's shin guards and socks up while playing. I decided to keep the ad fun because people would be irritated with finding ways to keep their shin guards up and they need an easy and efficient way to do so. I used the grass background to go along with the soccer theme and the graphics were fun and interesting. This was the first web site I had ever made, which explains its amateurness.
