My research is focused on the structure, tectonics, and geologic history of mountain belts. Most of my work is field based, supplemented by geochronology, thermobarometry, and sedimentology/stratigraphy. I am currently working on projects in the Appalachians and Rocky Mountains and have also worked in the Northern Apennines of Italy.

Laramide tectonics in New Mexico and Montana

Paleoseismology in the Appalachians, Rocky Mountains, and Alabama (K/T boundary)
  Eclogites in the southern Appalachians
      Appalachian structure and tectonics
Structural geology and sedimentology in the Northern Apennines, Italy
