Barney Rogers
Banjo

A Cary, N.C. resident, Barney plays the three finger, Earl Scruggs, style of banjo.  He has 

performed with various bluegrass groups in the Triangle area from private shows to performing 

at the governor's mansion. He also is a popular choice for banjo instruction.

Barney has recorded a new instrumental CD, which was released in early spring, 2002 entitled 

"Opening Act".  This album  includes a collection of most requested banjo selections as well 

as several stellar bluegrass musicians to back him up.

Barney likes old Gibson banjos.  The older the better.
