MATT MULLINS
I
was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 19, 1983. It was right around
the time of my birth that my
Dad accepted
Christ into his heart. When I was six years old my Dad was transferred to
Atlanta, Georgia
for his job.
It was from there that he felt called to seminary as a means of entering full
time ministry. I accepted
Christ at age
seven while living in Atlanta. When my Dad decided to come to Southeastern
Seminary here
in Wake
Forest, North Carolina, our family just left everything behind in Atlanta and
moved. I have always had
my Dad as an
example of what a sold-out man should look like. As a result of his obedience
and God's
goodness he now serves as the Associate Pastor of Administration and
Discipleship
at Faith
Baptist Church in Youngsville, North Carolina. I am very blessed to have two
godly parents.
I had always
liked music and had played piano and the trumpet when I decided to take up
guitar in the
eighth grade. I haven't put it down since I first picked it up. When I began
to
pursue an
intense relationship with God, during my sophomore year in high school, I
began to
write down
songs that God gave me. Today, DeeperStill is my musical outlet. The
fellowship
makes the
rock 'n' roll that much more fun. We see the music as purely entertainment.
God is the
one who gives us the songs so we give Him the glory
