Climbed July 7, 1994 with my church high school youth group.
Also climbed June 29, 2002 with the Ft. Collins Vineyard church young adult group.

Jason and me at the summit in 1994. This was my first 14er experience, set in the context of a 5 day backpacking trip (also my first). We summited from the back side (southeast?) where we had been camping. As you can tell, I wasn't too savvy on the appropriate outdoor attire. The fisherman's hat was good for sun protection, but while the cotton/wool Mexican poncho, cotton t-shirt, rolled-up jean shorts and Reebok "hiking boots" were stylish at the time, they were not the most practical.
