Climbed June 27, 2000 with my dad.

This was the first of ten 14ers that my dad and I climbed during our backpacking trip along the Colorado Trail. We took two months during the summer of 2000 (right before my senior year at CSU) to hike the 500 or so miles from Denver to Durang - an incredible experience. For Mt. Massive, we had a narrow window of time during which the clouds had lifted enough to not threaten rain, and to allow us to see ahead to the peak. Hence, there are very few pictures from this climb. I'll try to dig up a hard copy photo of Mt. Massive looking up from the Arkansas Valley. In the meantime, here's me in the clouds on top of the peak.
