I'm vegetarian.
I've got two cats: Skeeter and his mother, Chalupa.
He was named after the Muppet.
She was named after a delicious food.
I got hitched on 6/6/06.
I live in Durham, North Carolina.
I went to NCSSM for my junior and senior years of high school.
College was UNC Chapel Hill.
I picked up a major in psychology and another in wimmin's studies.
I'm a feminist, in case "wimmin" didn't clue you in.
I don't shave.
The artwork of Susi Medusa Gottardi played a considerable part in my decision to stop shaving.
My wimmin's studies classes took care of the rest.
I'm 28.
I have a ridiculously hard time remembering my age these days.
Once I hit 22, I just stopped paying attention, I think.
My birthday is 12/12.
My favorite colors lately are green, blue, and purple.
I think Living Dead Dolls are insanely cute.
I'd like to collect them - but I'm ridiculously slack about it.
So far I've got only got four: Sadie, Deadbra Ann, Louis Sapphire, and Lottie.
I love Lightlife's Fakin' Bacon.
I have two younger sisters.
I write with my left hand, but I'm dominantly right-handed.
An awesome womyn I used to babysit for taught me to knit when I was around twelve.
Then I pretty much didn't knit again until college, at which point I re-taught myself from a book.
As far as I can tell, I knit using a bastardization of Scottish style, thanks to the self-re-teaching.
My favorite Sanrio character was Role' Mole', until he was discontinued.
Nowadays, it's ChocoCat.
I have seven tattoos, and nine piercings. (My belly ring closed after my gall bladder surgery.)
But only three piercings are non-ear: nose, lip, and (ex-)bellybutton.
My pain threshold is not so high.
My alcohol tolerance level is also rather low.
My current grrlcrushes are Remasaurus Tenenbaum and and Adela Bradley.
Hobbies: reading, knitting, crocheting, sewing, anything arts and crafts, roleplaying.
I love "good smelly things."
My favorite tv shows are Dr. Who, Heroes, Lost, Poirot, Jeeves and Wooster, Monk, and Eureka.
I have a penchant for bad movies, cheesy movies, b-movies.
My favorite books are Jane Yolen's Great Alta series; Marion Zimmer Bradley's Avalon books; Agatha Christie's Poirot and Marple books; Clive Barker's Abarat series; Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series; Francesca Lia Block's Dangerous Angels series; James Howe's Bunnicula books; Umberto Eco's Name of the Rose; Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series; Stephen King's Dark Tower series; and George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series.
My favorite movies are Breakfast at Tiffany's, Playing by Heart, Practical Magic, and Lost and Delirious.
I'm really a little old lady trapped in a 28 year old body:
I have cats.
I knit.
I crochet.
I really love going to bed early and getting plenty of sleep.
I'm frequently crotchety.
See? Little old lady.
And I think Miss Marple rocks.
You just can't beat mad-detective-skillz AND knitting.
I am a total fucking pottymouth.
I like cool colors better than warm colors.
I don't really consider myself a yarn snob.
And I'm an unabashed fan of Lion Brand and Red Heart.
But I also like "high-end" yarns.
There are some AWESOME new natural fibers and new synthetics coming out all the time.
PINEAPPLE, people! And for the Secret Pal swap (round 2, I think), Iris gave me some PHAT bamboo yarn.
I don't have any allergies that I know of, other than seasonal.
Although I do have asthma.
And while we're discussing my health, I also have panic disorder, and generalized anxiety. And I no longer have a gall bladder.
I definitely have a sweet tooth.
I don't think I've met a craft or DIY project I didn't like.
My current side-project is looking for Edwardian- and Victorian-era crafts.
I dye my hair quite frequently.
And frequently I dye it crayon-box colors.
Although I've had to cut back lately, due to damage from constant bleaching.
My favorite number is 6.

That's all I got for now.
