Start Over

  Mikey and me

Welcome to my home, at least for the next three weeks as I set my sites on getting that little piece of paper that says I'm worth at least something - that is, my bachelor's degree. That being said, I'm a senior Journalism and Political Science major here at the University of North Carolina. A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, my family shifted its locale in favor of a smaller, quaint, Quaker-settled town called Jamestown. We are not Quakers, however. A pacifist nature just isn't something that seems to be in our Southern blood.

I've always enjoyed writing and in a few short months (2!), after graduation, I'll make my first cross-continent trek to lovely Phoenix where I will work as an intern for the paper's sports desk. It definitely will be a new experience for someone who has lived just an hour away from home at most all her life. Let the prayers begin. And speaking of prayers, this year was my first real year experiencing God's word through fellowship. I'm a huge fan of people's testimonies, also. If you have one, please e-mail it to me. On that same note, I plan to put mine online soon, but if you can't wait, drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you.

Say "Hello" to my family. From left to right, across the bottom you have my sister, Kristi, me, Daddy, Mama, a squirrel, my brother, Mikey and me again- surprise.
These pictures and more will be available on my Scrapbook link soon. Stay tuned.
